Zoom Lens & Viewing DistanceThis camera is equipped with a manual zoom 2.8-9mm lens. The manual zoom lens allows you to mount the camera and then, using the zoom knob on the camera, adjust or “zoom” the viewing area in or out until you get the perfect view. The green lens chart below indicates viewing distances associated with this lens.
Power SupplyThis camera is normally powered by directly connecting the Cat5 cable from the camera to the DVR. The Cat 5 cable provides both video transmission to the DVR and power delivery to the camera. This is possible because the DVR is equipped with PoE (Power over Ethernet); however the camera can also be powered with a one camera or multi-camera Plug-in Power Supply Item #PWR-2Amp or using one of our Multi-Camera Power Units. Power supplies are sold separately.
