(Sentry-Wifi) Long Range Wireless Outdoor IP Wifi Security Control
The Sentry-Wifi allows you to group security cameras (up to 8) and transmit them up to 3,000 feet using secure, high performance "wifi" wireless transmission. The only requirements are line of sight for the antennas and constant 120v ac power at the Sentry location and the monitoring station or NVR.
The uses are endless but include: Parking Lots, Resorts & Pools, Sports Fields & Parks, Apartment Complexes, Farms & Ranches, Entry Gates & HOA's, Storage Yards, Private Roads, Intersections, Boat Docks.
Extreme Weather Design
The system is designed for harsh environments, it's temperature controlled, voltage regulated, secure and reliable.
Mounting
The Sentry control system, cameras and antenna can all be installed on a single pole equipped with 120v ac power. All cabling can be hidden inside the pole, and as many cameras as needed (up to 8) can be mounted on the pole.
The Sentry can also be mounted to any solid vertical structure. Then power is ran to the unit and the cameras connected to the Sentry system using Cat6 network cable which allows up to 300 foot wire runs. Please remember to use conduit or outdoor rated cable when the cable is exposed to the elements.
Antenna Mounting
The antenna is designed for pole mounting and can be up to 300 feet from the Sentry Controller; connecting them with Cat6 network cable. Wall mount poles (2) are included with the Sentry kit; one for the Sentry location and the other for your front-end to receive the signal.
Suitable Applications
The antennas transmit a focused data stream between each other. The narrow transmission of the data stream is what allows such long range transmission. For reliable performance, the two antennas require line of sight. At both the Sentry location and the video monitoring location, constant 120v ac power is required.
Knowledge & Installation
Each Sentry system is pre-programmed and shipped ready for install. The installer does not need any networking or IP programming skills. Simply follow the instructions and call our support center with any questions. Electrical industry standards should be followed during installation. All cabling, unless rated for outdoor use, should be protected with approved conduits or raceways.
Specifications | Sentry System SpecificationsEnclosureThe unit is equipped with a 200W heating system and cooling fan. The heater turns on when the internal temperature drops to 40º F and turns off at 60º F. The heater does not require the use of any of the AC outlets. The cooling fan is a high airflow 7.5 W unit. The fan turns on when the temperature rises to 100º F.
AntennaThe NanoBeam antenna system directs RF energy in a tighter beam width. With the focus in one direction, the NanoBeam blocks or spatially filters out noise, so noise immunity is improved. This feature is especially important in an area crowded with other RF signals of the same or similar frequency. The design combined the radio and antenna to create a more efficient and compact CPE. The NanoBeam gets maximum gain out of the smallest footprint. |
