The Scout is an effective low-cost alternative to fully equipped Active Response Surveillance Trailers. The unit is self-contained and offers all the basic requirements of mobile surveillance. The unit can be deployed almost anywhere in less than 10 minutes. The system puts live eyes on a problem location 24 hours a day without putting anyone in harm’s way. The system never sleeps, takes a break or calls in sick.

There are three communication options: cellular, satelite and wifi. Backstreet's cellular service delivers unmatched connectivity by integrating all major cellular carriers into one unified network. Upon startup, the system automatically scans AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile and locks onto the strongest available signal—ensuring dependable communication wherever the trailer is located. Superior Health Monitoring & Power Management
Our Uptime Service provides continuous health monitoring for every camera, checking system performance hourly. If a video feed is lost or an operational issue arises, automatic alerts notify our team immediately. The system detects blocked views, focus issues, camera failures, and recording interruptions—ensuring problems are identified and addressed quickly.
The remote power management system monitors charging performance, system load, charging levels, and operational status, providing the data needed to quickly identify and diagnose issues.
Our systems are engineered for reliable and continuous operation. After a complete battery drain, the system will resume normal operation within two hours of sunlight. With 8–10 hours of sunlight, the system is fully charged, delivering up to ten days of battery runtime. This extended battery performance ensures reliable operation during long winter storms in northern environments.

Our standard AI package detects vehicles, people, and bicycles. Advanced AI options enable automation of daily operations, such as detecting and alerting staff when the UPS truck arrives, distinguishing between animals like deer and coyotes, and identifying individuals on a construction site who are not wearing required safety gear, such as hard hats or high-visibility vests. Effective Coverage Area
The Scout is equipped with (2) Mid-range PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras and (1) Long-range PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) camera providing an effective surveillance area up to 500ft around the trailer. The cameras are equipped with advanced AI, allowing them to detect the human form and motorized and non-motorized vehicle profiles with 99% accuracy.
Deployment
The Scout offers the quickest deployment of any mobile surveillance trailer. • Pick the trailer location. • Level the unit with the drop-down levelers. • Deploy the 23ft telescoping mast. • Turn the power on. After a 2-minute start-up, the system will record, and the live video will be accessible on smartphones and remote computers.
User Access
The Scout video system can be accessed from anywhere you have cell service or access to the internet. You can view live video from multiple cameras and perform multi-camera video playback on demand using your smartphone or PC. Multiple users can be granted access to the system. Each user is given their own login credentials and can be limited to selected cameras and what features they can use.
