Case Study

A city's park is experiencing high crime rates. As the officers patrol through the park after hours the perpetrators simply slip back into their hiding spots until the officer passes. Once the patrol car is gone, its back to business as usual.

By deploying three Sentry-Pro surveillance trailers, the areas of concern are monitored end to end. When the human form is detected, in certain areas after normal hours, the officers can receive alerts right to their mobile devices. Officers can monitor the live camera feeds from all three trailers on one smart phone. They also have access to video playback for reference and download. As they patrol through the park the officers already know the suspects hiding locations making it fast and efficient to clear the park. Within days, the ongoing presence of the trailers assures the perpetrators will not return.

The on-board 4 weeks of continuous 4K video storage is accessed on demand, time stamped and ready for court. AI event alerts (such as human detected, or humans congregating) can feed directly to officers phone, to the PD's dispatch center or to our monitoring & dispatch center.

It is a fact crime and public nuisance behaviors are dramatically deterred when surveillance trailers are deployed. This type of deterrence is so effective insurance companies are now requiring general contractors to deploy surveillance trailers as a requirement for insurance coverage.

Vandalism & Active Deterrence

The trailer is built with a solid sturdy steel frame and hardened against vandalism. But the best defense is a good offence. The trailers are equipped with an active deterrence warning system to deter vandalism. Two 180 degree vandal dome cameras provide a 360 degree view of the trailers perimeter. If anyone approaches the trailer within 10 feet, a very loud warning message and siren will sound instructing them to step back. High intensity flood lights also activate drawing attention to the location. The response is strong but very effective. The event is instantly transmitted to the monitoring centers as well.

Mast

There are two types of masts which the cameras are mounted, telescoping and tilt-up. We prefer the tilt-up mast for several reasons. First the telescoping masts have a big design flaw. They sway, they sway in the wind a lot. Some even require support guide wires from the top of the mast to the trailer frame just to stabilize it. The real problem is when a PTZ camera is zoomed in to a target area and the mast sways half an inch, the zoomed in view sways 2 to 3 feet horizontally. This makes AI human detection less reliable and the system less effective. Our tilt-up mast has no such problems with the wind, our single piece no-sway mast puts the cameras at the 18 foot height as others, without all the wiggle. Tilt-up masts require less moving parts and deploys quickly and reliably.
